Survive

"A man; darkened, broken by the world
He climbs, forcing his way upwards
Fragments of hope, expectation, love cut so deeply
Much more so than any blade could pierce
He has lost His guiding light...
Muscles, they tear under the strain
Eyes, blinded by tears, remain shut in this darkened world
No songs, to carry him, to soothe him
His mind reels, His heart gone
Reality begins to fail the grip
From the ruin, of his own life
Emerges a thing that was once called a man
To a blackened sky, a world awash in tears
To his bloodied, broken knees he rises,
A yell,
